well dude jes get some good VHDL book like VHDL by exams.. search n the forum it would surely help you..

get HDL design by Smith.. nice book to start off with VHDL and Verilog.

jes go through each and every line and work with examples would surely help you.

with regards,

go through samir palnitkar for verilog and bhaskar for vhdl. they are very basic books for starters....

Do a quick search on google for the subjects and you will find a lot of information.

Depending on what company you choose, there are 100s of tutorials, help files, guidelines and booksavailable for begginers and intermediate users.

Mybe to use verilog is a good idea than vhdl,
verilog is easy to learn and as powerful as vhdl

You can try the book in

u could try this link..posted by Belsugului

you can start with

the designers guide to VHDL

by

peter j. ashenden

You could also try the following book for FPGAs:
esign Warrior's Guide to FPGAs, Clive Maxfield

You can download it from the forum:

VHDL programming ebook

this may be helpful for anyone.....

the password is: cathome

read the variety of ebooks about the matter, i don't think verilog it's a good alternative. But that's just me. You can find a large number of books in www.ebooksclub.org.

The Design Warrior's Guide to FPGAs (Edn Series for Design Engineers)

you can refer some books about vhdl or fpga.
and you must master its programming method.
i think it is very important for us to undertand the relation of vhdl language and hardware design. only if the system you design is usable.

Hi

To know the practical things of the CPLD/FPGA, you go through the CPLD, FPGA sections in Xilinx and Altera websites. FPGA programming tutorial is available on these websites in University programs section.

u have to start doing simple examples of small logical designs

u can start with VHDL primer
or HDL chip design by Smith

but u have to know basic logic design at first

xilinx site is full of applications...get to that when u become better with the language at first

good luck

Salma
