Hi all,
I found a datasheet stated: PLoad(avg)=8W, Gain=14dB, Vds=28V, Vdq=170mA, PAE=40%, WCDMA mode
Would you help me on the calculation how to obtain PAE 40%?
**broken link removed**

thanks!

As you know PAE=((Pout-Pin)/Pdc)x100%. Pdc=Vds x I but you don't know "I" ,cause they give you only quiescent current Idq. So from your parameters you can only obtain "I".
I=(Pout-Pin)/(PAEx100xVds)

Thank you! It's all because "I" is missing!. so i need to check I-V curve first
