playing a video in xilinx fpga board

i want to interface the hdmi card on the fpga board
so that i ccan play a video saved on the sd card and also want to access the sd card through the
sd host controller.can anybody help me regarding this matter as i am new to fpga ?

Im sure its possible. What have you done so far?

i have only build a bsb and blinked some led and taken the inputs from push buttons in edk(xilinx 14.2).
i am using zynq evaluation board but not able to interface eithe sd card or the hdmi in edk.
