PIC16f877a programming error

when i program a PIC16f877a chip, error will occur.
What is reason? MPLABX IDE and HitechC compiler. microchip PICkit3 Programmer

hello,
are you trying to record with pickit software programmer or is using the programmer mode of the compiler?
Try both options, if none of them work, change the pic. If it still does not work its probably pickit may be faulty (which I find hard to have happened). If your problem is setting the programmer to write the compiler software it might help you:

Try using PICkit(TM) 3 Programmer Application



Just load hex and write.
