pic16f877a not running.

i programm pic 16f877a with pckit2,after pickit2 show program sucessful,pic is not running.i power it with pickit2 power supply.
i av checked the xtal,even replcing with another new on,i put two 22pf capacitor to the xtal but still not running.

How do you mean you power it with PICKit2 ?

Did you verify code inside uC ?

Maybe code is bad.

Post your circuit and code circuit.

Here's your check list:

1. Is the power line voltage correct?
2. Is the reset pin pulled high?
3. If you used LVP is the PGM pin pulled low?
4. Did you select the correct oscillator mode for your crystal (HS, XT etc.)?
5. Did you connect ALL the power pins?
6. Did you fit decoupling capacitors across the supply as recommended in the data sheet?

If the answer to all the questons is yes, how can you tell the program isn't working? What are the symptoms?

Post your circuit. have you pulled MCLR pin high? If not, connect MCLR pin to +5V through a 10K resistor.
