Pic vs atmega for video transmission

I need to transmit video data using microcontroller...
which one would be the best???
PIC OR ATMEGA?
please provide some information regarding this...:-|
 

What do you mean with "transmit video data"? I think your question should be explained a bit more before getting an answer.

In any case I suggest you to consider Atmel ATXMega family, because they have DMA and event system that could be useful for data acquisition. Or the Atmel UC3 family, with 32-bit AVR32 core. I could be wrong, but ATMega could not have enough power to do video processing.

Anyway, the choice depends from the application...
