Interesting, did you actually use the serial tool from PICkit2. how?

PicKit Serial Analyzer is an simple version of PicKit2. (Different Firmware - please check Microchip web page for firmware and docs.)

Hi,

PICALL have protected PIC16C62 .
Does anyone has a hex for it ?

Thanks
Nobody will have that HEX code, the manufacturer protect it with his life, but you can buy a programmed chip from him, I was using one for many year it is real good, I still have my old one but I have changed to a USB programmer, no need for a power supply and I can use it on my notebook, most new PCs come without a printer port

goldpic v3.01 programe

There are all kinds of choices, buy one or build one.

Does anyone know a PIC ICSP programmer for the PIC18fxx8 pics?
I would like to design one for programming devices at production.

Thanks a lot,

mimoto
Look here **broken link removed** or you can send your HEX code to Microchip and they will program it for you if you are going to use large quantity's of the same firmware

- ZIF socket style of programmers are fine for OTP's but not good for FLASH micros.
Reason:
Too slow programming process and non practical for Hi pin count microcontrollers.
FLASH micro you keep on PCB and quickly erase/write over serial port -
6pin header on the board. OTP micros are going to be obsolete soon anyway. Additionaly most of OTP PIC micros are in-circuit programable
Thats true, but what if you use the chip to its limit? then you have to build in extra circuitry and dip switches to disconnect your PGD, PGC and MCLR from the rest of your circuit.

Try Microchip PK2 and PK3. Their schematic are both open to the public.

Could you please write links? I really wonder where they are on microchip's site.
