[PIC] pic microcontroller distributed and multi tasking processing

I decide to comeback to micro controller world after 10 years.
In the last 10 years I had to work for my family (food,healthy,house,car,....)

Is there any tools(software/IDE) for "distributed and multi tasking processing" .
I need to use 2 or more uC for "Digital power" projects like 3ph battery charger ,SVC ,...
please show me the way.

Last 10 years pic died and has been buried. Try use STM32 + FreeRTOS for example.
