Phase of an amplifier

Hello,

I have some measurements made on the amplifier such as S Parameters (dB) vs Frequency, Noise Figure vs Frequency, Output Power at 1 dB Compression Point vs Frequency. I would like to know how can I get the phase ?

I guess, I can't since I only have the S Parameters in dB ..

Hi,

have a look on the data set of your S parameter measurement results, they should consist of a real and imaginary part. With those values you should be able to determine the phase.

If s-parameters are give as dB, Phases should be included in Touchstone format.If they are not, you cannot extract phase information

Most probably your question is related to a previous topic that you posted few days ago regarding the S parameters of HMC313.

From the file you can get the phase information.

Hi,

if you are really using the HMC313 and the data provided by Analog Devices, than your are abel to evaluate the phase as the touchstone file linked by vfone provides the real and imaginary part. Have a look at [1] to identify the real and imaginary part of the individual scatter parameters.
