Hi,

I'm trying to optimize phase noise of a simple cmos colpitts oscillator. The problem has multiple parameters (such as two feedback cap, inductance, bias current etc.).
I'm trying to define an equation on the schematic (MeasEqn block) and give it aa s goal to the opimizer. The problem is the simulator does not "understand" it and give me a warning message as apears in the attached file.It seems strange because when I define this parameter at graph sheet as an equation, there is no problem at all.
Please help..

can u send the project , we can check it

khouly

The project is attached.I changed the process to TSMC 0.18um v.3.0 which hopefully installed on your ADS (the only components taken from the kit are the nfet and spiral inductor).
Thanks in advance to anyone who can give an advice.

Can anyone check out the file?
