Currently I use voltage generator (0.6v) instead of peak detector diode, and watch transient or amplitude response. It is easy to determine local stability, but I have problems, when peak detector is part of some global control loop, i.e AGC. Then ac simulation does not have much sense, and in transient response I have internal peaking.
Is there more suitable way to simulate peak-detector response?
