PCI-Express and microcontroller connection
Hello,
I want to create a mini sensor board based on a wireless microcontroller chip. The board is going to be a standard half mini PCI-Express so it can be connected to other external board through a mini pci connector. At the same time I want to be able to connect the board to a desktop or a laptop again through mini PCI-Express and make the communication between them with USB. The problem is that I want to connect also other pins of the microcontroller (for example I/O, SPI, I2C) to the mini PCI-Express pins so I can use them when I connect the board to an other external board as I mentioned before. Which of the mini PCI-Express pins I can use for this purpose without damaging the microcontroller and-or the computer. Any other idea on how I can do this is welcomed. Thanks.
