Something like Hyperlynx will simulate the PCB performance from a transmission line perspective (overshoot, ringing, propagation delay, etc.). Altium Designer will, supposedly, simulate the entire design, although I haven't used it for simulation.
get yourself a nice simulator that is specialised for SMPS...like the LTspice, which is free.
In this course below, there is a folder called "topologies hard switched"..in there youll find some sims of bucks that you can run...they are in LTspice.
Hi TreeZ,
I am looking for a PCB simulator and not a circuit simulator. I need to know the influences of PCB traces, vias on the performances of my design.
You are wrong. You want a circuit simulation with PCB parasitics included. Tool packages like Keysight ADS SI/PI can extract parasitics from PCB design data and include them in a simulation circuit. Hyperlynx SI can also extract PCB parasitices but doesn't offer a built-in circuit simulator, it has to be interfaced with an externbal simulation tool.
If your focus is on AC magnetic simulation (probably the case for most power electronic PCB), you can also use free electromagnetic simulators like FastHenry.
