Suppose if i take some different family of micro controllers say infineon, microchip will the oscillator section remain same? Does the basic concept remain the same in all the controllers with respect to oscillators? I need to do porting work so want to check the details.

Hi,

There is only one reliable source of detailed information: The datasheets. Read them.

Usually each vendor has it´s own way. And they use different features.
Example: Some microcontrollers have built in PLL others don´t have. Thus it can´t be the same.
