Hi,

what is the difference between off-page connector and port???it it related with hierarchical design means then what hierarchical design means???if anybody knw the answer plz repli 4 me....thanq:p

If you have big design and multiple reuse.then hierarchical design helps, where you can create circuits for sub modules independently in different schematics and finally u can link them to top module to complete your design.

and also

if u want use the same circuit in different places in ur sch then instead of doing sch entry multiple times you can reuse the existing circuit.
for more info refer

thanks alot....i go thru the link....what i understand is....for repeated ckt we are using hierarchical design, make that ckt as block and link with dat page which we want the repeated ckt isn't it????

ok ok....one more que!!!

WARNING: [DRC0006] Net has fewer than two connections I2C1_SCL
SCHEMATIC1, 020 - SERIAL IO (13.20, 8.60)

how to correct this type of warnings????do u knw???

single pin nets.. it is not connected other end properly may be off page connector or naming issues..

if the other end is not connected means the pblm due to improper connection...it means the pin is in floating not connectod to other net.....am i crt????

Yes it is floating other end... check the signal both sides and if it is in different page then check the off page connector placement.
