hi

i understood that the OLB files are orcad schematics symbol libraries, and I know how to add them to a project or make them visible.

as i saw, in orcad, we can place a component either from the place>part or from the place>database_part. The place>partworks fine with the OLB files.

What files are used by the place>databasepart (cis), and for what? how to install a library? can we have multiple libraries installed, or only one at a time?
There are the MDB and DBC files. what are these exactly? The mdb seems to be big, is it a replacement for the OLB libraries?

How to specify the available footprint library/folders for CIS and for capture?

for the libraries, we can select orcad footprint viewer, or allegro footprint viewer. what does it mean? for example orcad footprint view means view footprints in arcad library browser, or view orcad-layout ffotprints instead or allegro format footprints? and the allegro footprint viewer: does it mean that we have to open allegro to check every footprint how they look like?
