Hi :

einthoven_expl.jpg

I want to know ,
can i obtain ECG leads without using amplifier(preamplifier or differential op amp) ?

can i just measure (at the same time) three voltage of LL(left leg),RA(right arm) and LA(left arm) and using RR(right leg) as ground
and then in the computer the leads will be obtained mathematically by using a software ?

From medical aspect this basic ECG design dont have some practical application. On chest you need at least 5-6 channels or should I say 12 channels. Under 5-6 channels reading are not accurate and may be misleading in reading and diagnosing.

Voltage what you measure is under or around 1mV and you need amplifier.

that right, but i don't want chest leads

i just want the limb leads(I,II,III,aVR,aVL and aVF)
these leads can be obtained mathematically from LL,RA and LA
but i don't know if i can do that in the practical
