Went to reply to a thread when I had not yet logged in.
Used to be that I'd end up punted to a page that had both
"log in" and "register: buttons, if you looked for the "log in"
carefully (but mainly about registering).

Today the page seems different and registering (which is
a no go with existing username) is the only option, no
option to log in and finish the post. Have to go to the login
page explicitly and then the working post content is flushed.

So, yeah, you can copy and hold it, go log in and re-paste
in the now-blank reply window if you think ahead. But it's still
a jerk-around, that used to not be quite so.
