Hello guys, can you please tell me how can I obtain PCB footprint "codes" for components.I am using orcad and I would like to manually add them in capture.I've read that the datasheets offers them but I haven't seen to find any.Do they tend to reference them in a different way?Hope I made this post in the right location, thank you.

I'm not sure what you mean by "codes". Many datasheets include recommended footprints. Also, vendors often have footprints(decals) for specific layout packages on their websites that you can download.

An example of a "code" is AX/RC05.This is what I when I double click a component(resistor) in capture in the PCB footprint tab,but not all components have them.I will take a closer look at the datasheets maybe I can find something, thank you.

Look up IPC-7351 and "The CAD library of the future" you'll get some informative links to study.
