Looking for any information and tips on designing a handsfree telephone system for a nursecall system in a hospital. Already have a design using the Motorola MC34118 Voice-switched circuit. If anybody has played with this device before or similar, any advice would be quite helpful.

The design is finished, except we would basically like the speaker on the handfree to be louder, and the mic gain to be higher. We have fiddled with resistors and caps to adjust gains for both mic and speaker however we have now narrowed it down to mechanical and not electrical. We notice when the mic is further from the speaker we can adjust the gain better without voice being cut out. Obviously there is some interference between speaker and mic to closer they are together. We are open to any suggestions....Thankyou
