hi all
I want to build usb to comport adapter
I am searching schematic
I have a motorola Acompli008 mobile phone
I have casper Note book but not comport.Notebook is usb all input unit

The simplest way by far is to use a ready made chip for this

one that works well for me is the FT8U232AM from FTDI Chip

I have not tested the new FT232BM so I cant say anything about that

USB to COM port

We tested the FTDI chip. It works very fine.

If you only want to make one piece of it, you better order the DLP-USB232M module. It's a module in DIP format with a USB connector, the FTDI chip and some caps and resistiros on it.
We 've also tested this one and it works fine too.

Try it

Try to use Texas Instruments TUS3410 it's work fine and yoiu only need few components to assembly it.

The TI site have schem, docs and a gerber of a test board, it's cool:

You can also request samples from ftdi. If you explain your project politely, you may receive ic's from them via air-mail.
