I got an offer for digital/Mix IC back-end design position. But Previously, I am front-end engineer. So need you guys recommend some ebooks/DOCs for backend design. I think I need to study before I start that job.
The book Application-Specific Integrated Circuits, by Michael John, is good introduction book, which covers the whole ASIC design from front-end to back-end, and can be found in internet.
The general design flow is introduced in the book I mentioned.
Following is our design flow . Please note that iterations exist in practice.
design specification
design architecture ( referring to other similar design)
RTL coding
RTL simulation (b-level and system level)
logic synthesys and DFT
pre-layout STA
floor-planning
Place & Routing, CTS
DRC & LVS
post-layout STA
formal check and gate-level simulation

so ,i think the first thing is to learn the flow , tools your company use . when you clear about the back-end enviroment ,you know what you need .
the 15 minutes is necessary(i spend three month ,even more)
