I am going to create a "Persistence of Vision" device and I am used to using PICs in general but they don't (in my opinion, please correct me if im wrong) to be well suited for manipulating alot of leds. I want to use approx 10-20 RGB SMD leds which means I will need 30-60 outputs. I have been looking at FPGAs lately and was wondering if this would be a good choice. I never done anything with them before but i can always learn. Could anyone direct me on the best way to do this?
