perl asic design script example

hi all:
I've already studied perl for 2 weeks.
but i don't know how perl is used in asic
design.
Can anybody supply some perl examples in asic design.

paper of fsm_perl: A Script to Generate RTL Code for State Machines and Synopsys Synthesis Scripts? It's a good example for learning perl. Thanks a lot

thank you very much! I downloaded this file before. but I can't find the perl scripts. The file said it could be downloaded from the web: www.sunburst-design.com. But it seems that the link to download the perl scripts is disconnected
 

in fact , the perl can make some simple tools in ASCI design!
