Hello
I need to design a supply board that with those input / output characteristics :

Vin = +/-15V (+/-5%)
Vout = +/-12V (+/-1%) - with Iout = +/-3A

I also want to have minimal noise so a linear type should be the best, but since I'm not a supply specialist, I would want to know your opinion of the topology that I should choose ?

regards

LM317/LM337 are positive/negative variable regulators for 1.5A, you can use them with external pass transistor but you will not have shortcircuit protection unless you add an additional circuit.
LM7812/7912 are fixed 12v/-12v 1A regulators , you can use them the same way as above for more current

LP350/LM333 are variable regulators like lm317/337 but can work up to 3A so you don't need any other component.

Thanks for your help, I finally found a LT1085 / LT1185 which seem to match with my requirements
thanks for your help.
