Need help in implementing an air-con controller using VB

Hai,i am using Vb to communicate with my air-con controller thru RS232.I have set up all the MSComm setting but don know how to communicate with them le..:cry:
All the data already preset in the microcontroller(Hex format).

Is there any website or reference have few examples to implement an air con controller?
