Hi friends
I am designing Broad band LNA for frequency range 1 to 3GHz
(2GHz bandwidth).
I am using transistor from Fuzitso (FHX 13LG).
I have few doubts in the design.
1) How to design broardbad RFC & RF ground capacitor used in biasing?
( for single frequency we place simplae λ/4 line. Here it is not possible)
2) Does any one of you have any application note for such broad band LNA design?
can any one attach.
3) Is it correct that matching circuit in broad band matching is kind of Band pass filter? with ports defined.
for the biasing , u can use in this wideband a lumped elements , specially ur frequqncy is not very high , the problem will be in the matching not in the bias circuit
i think u need some kind of negative feedback to make the BW is high
Addition of resistance in circuit for negative feedback will make things more
complicated.
And how to do this broadband matching?
Do you have any application note?
mmm
check the book microwave solid state circuit design u can find it on gigapedia ,
about the feedback , it can be used by microstrips not resistors , like poles of band pass filters , but the feedback also will limit ur noise performacne
I have found that the transistor i got is not useful for making LNA in 1 to 3 GHz range, becaus of its smaller geometry.
It will be useful abouve 10GHz.
Also I can not make use the same transistor because non linear model is not provided
therefore I have learnt that Fuzitso transistors should not be purchased.
