Anyone know, what type of transistor or amplifier that has very high gain ?

The gain i need is about more than 100 db.

I want to design AGC circuit.
frequency = 100MHz

Thanks..

A gain of 100dB is 100,000 times the voltage.
An FM radio receives 100MHz but it uses an oscilllator and mixer to reduce the signal to the IF frequency of 10.7MHz where an IC amplifies it many times.

Since FM radio signals are usually small the RF amplifier uses a small amount of AGC when the radio is near a transmitter.

I want to design AGC for WiMax receiver.

RF frequency = 2.3 GHz

IF Frequency = 100 MHz
