need help for my invertor

i have square wave inverter(ups) that problem occurs sometime when the generator starts and it go to charging normally sometimes it become so hot even battery wire also heat.it trip the our generator breaker of 4amps some one can help me in this matter.

If its working ok on mains supply then check the frequency of your generator.
