FIFO

Hi Guys...


I just want to know about the operation of FIFO in detail..can any provide me the link or if its expained here,it would be really great.

i have to write the behavioural description of FIFO in VHDL....

and to answer ur question, did u mean First In First Out? on wat regard are u trying to apply it? are u to apply on some optimisation algorithm such as tjhe process running on a system or fetching a file from a hardisk or mimimum delay to get various processes in a batch execution??? can u explain in more detail!

I am modeling a Latency counter in which FIFO is used.if u can give me details about FIFO resgister.

I need a general desciption of FIFO register.
