Hi Everyone,

Could someone please help me with plotting the near field patterns in CST MWS, I know that farfield patterns can be achieved by using the field monitors but I am not sure if there is such a procedure for near field patterns.

You use the normal monitors (H,E), see the attached pdf:

Hi again,,

got the pdf, thanks a lot :)

Do you know if there is a way to find field at a particular distance from the antenna?

For example, you can use a 2D-monitor plane and change the distance from your design.

Thanks a lot once again.
BTW have you used Microstripes for near field analysis? When I typed in near field in CST help it gave me the Microstripes package as a solution which I couldn't figure out how to use! I tried it and it keeps on giving me errors in excitation of the model.
Thanks for your help!

Regards
