Hi,

I need to find the current consumption of MSP430 when the processor enter in the different low power operating mode like
AM, LPM0 to LPM4. and also i need what may be the situation the processor can go to the different low power operating mode.
Pls share the information if anybody work in this area...

Thanks

Hi

You need to measure current and voltage changes in your circuit using a sensitive high speed current meter (use a scope and a current meter probe) - a costly equipment

you will also need to use a data logger with current and voltage meter to measure and log current consumption data ,in order to anticipate product power consumption

All the best

Bobi

The datasheet of your specific MSP430 should contain this information.

Also the Family User's Guide discuss the current consumption at various modes of operating from which you should be able to calculate power consumption:

For instance, Reference pg 2-14, Section 2.3 Operating Modes

MSP430x1xx Family User's Guide (Rev. F)

Without the exact model of MSP430, details can not be more specific.

Hope the info gets you started in the right direction.
