Hi,

Please let me know how we can calculate the FIFO Depth if the source and Destination frequncies are same but both are asynchronous(may be phase Difference)?

My guess is it would just be the difference of write enable and read enable rates. In the asynchronous-different frequency rates, we had to take care of the clock values and burst rates, here just the burst rates of the 2 sides should be sufficient.

For example, if writes happen in a burst of 50 words and reads clock out 30 words in the same time, then the depth would have to be 20. If the rates are same, then perhaps the depth would be 1? Others would be able to say better.
