Why 4 locations are required to save interrupt vactor in 8086 ....when it contains IP & CS value only and each of them is of 16 bits long and word size of 8086 is also 16 bits long..so only two locations are required ...i think....i dont know at which point i m wrong, please tell me asap.....
 

hello,

because with 2 locations => 1word of 16 bits ponter
you can cover only 65535 locations in memory..
so you need another 16 bits pointer to cover 65536 pages of 64k memory.
