Presented construction is a DIY microscope – cheap and useful. With this device you can easily solder systems in TQFP housings, and then make optical inspection and improve or eliminate short circuits, which are hard to see with the naked eye. The lens is movable so you can set it in any angle.
Elements of lens and prisms were disassembled from flashligh and cameras.
Housing for optics was made on the ebonite rack and car spatula. The height of the lens over the table is adjustable by the cylinder made of M4 screw and a nut. It powers a small engine controlled via two buttons up and down. While working there is much space under the lens so you can easily operate a soldring iron, knife of tweezers.
