Microchips Real Ice, the successor to ICD2 is available from 14/11/06 for about £260! Looks like a nice step up, with a high speed (usb2) interface and a real time trace. Now I just need to find £260?

Hi!!

Is not an ICD2 successor, is an emulator (which can be used as debugger). Then it is more complete than the ICD2, but we must to wait for processors packs to have a dsPic33f & PIC24 emulator...

But may be an interesant project to make...

regards,

Just received my Realice this week, it makes working with the dsPIC a bit easier.
In time it will replace the ICD2, simply it is a ICD2 with an fpga todo a lot of the work.
Just got to wait a bit for 8 bit support - i have been told in the new year.

Cheers

I see you can get it from Microchip.
Do you have to pay VAT on top of the price?

got it free, so cannot answer that question.
