stand alone programmer

Hi

anybody knows if exists any standalone production programmer for Microchip PIC's?

I need something like the CYCLONE II form MOTOROLA for freescale HC08 microcontrollers.

pic production programmer

This might not be the best idea for production programming but for general usage you could get a serial pic progammer and program another pic to interface to is and load a program you have stored on an eeprom or even an sd card. I have a kit149 based programmer and i'm thinking of trying to program a pic to use it to load a program stored on and I2C eeprom into another pic, or even make it copy itself to it.
