Method for designing a DMA

plz tell me method to design a DMA

actully my situation is that i want to access a dma from a mpc which is on pci bus and i have to access a memory which is on local bus and i am usin a plb for this.

Why dont you read up about DMA's and then do the design work yourself instead of asking someone to do it for you?

Also, have you even done a search to see if there is already a complete DMA core from someplace like Opencores.org?

You should understand how the DMA work under the PCI protocol. The DMA controller should be considered.
