design capture tutorial

These are some questions related to Mentor Expedition PCB tools:
1- Grid : when making symbols in symbol editor and using Grid of some value, use must use the same grid resolution or finer in Design Capture for easy wiring,
but what if I have already designed the symbol by some grid, can I modify it without redesigning it ?

2- Symbols : after designing a symbol, and using it in design capture , I found its size is too small or sometimes too big, is there any way to rescale or resize the symbol.

3- Symbol Editor : when drawing a line or any shape you can't edit its coordinates, it is read only, if I whant to assign certain value to X,Y of a line for example I can't do this, only be redrawing it and noting the status x,y coordinates.

Enough till now and waiting for answers.
Thanks

There is a scale symbol function available in the library manager.
Simply search for "symbol scale" in help

I typed a much longer reply but a stupid  timeout on the login of the reply page trashed my answer.
I suppose no edaboard admin ever gets a phone call when writing.

I hv Mentor Graphic WG2004 installed but I am not very familiar with Mentor design methodology.
Is there any good design Tutorial available to start from complete Design Capture to Expedition PCB to Fabrication.
I am migrating from previous Protel99SE since its router is really poor.
Anyone can help ???

Thanks in advance.

Altough there has been pdf's that looked like a user guide to the Mentor
ExpeditionPCB tools suite, my worst grief against this suite is the lack
of a true manual covering all topics in a logical and printable way.

In fact, the only choices left to the customer are :
-to browse into the messy help until nearly all is read and all topics covered
(goal one is to discover how a given feature/function is called by Mentor  )
-to pay for private courses.

This is far from looking very professional or even with the claimed level of the tools.

Generally, I would say the tool is quite good apart from acute user annoyances
that remain unfixed from year to year and that make you think that the program
programmers never use it for more than a debug run. Only using the progs for long periods
on complex designs and in a period of rush may expose these annoyances.
