maximum slave memory size is 4 KB in AMBA AXI protocol.

Hi friends,
I am new to AXI protocol. while going through AXI protocol pdf I crossed a sentence that the maximum slave size should not exceed 4 KB.
Why does the maximum memory size of AXI slave is set to 4KB only. What happens if my slave size is more than 4 KB.
