Hi,

I am doing survey on the minimum delay as a function of technology. Can somebody help me where can I find such information ?

Thanks

Check the .LIB files, it will have information regarding the Set up, Hold , Min and Max clock pulse.

Thanks .. are these files available ? if yes where can I find them ?

Actually this question is not okay as there is nothing like minimum delay as function of technology. It depends on the speed of the individual transistor. .libs are just a representation of a design which would mean that using those particular standard cells one can design an ASIC with that speed. But the technology can support designs much faster than available in the .lib files. One tends to design custom circuits along with analog components designed in the process.

.libs mean the fastest ASIC but the technology transistors can used to achieve much higher speeds.

.LIB's tells the Max and Min values of the operation above/below which the defined circuit will not perform as expected.

It gives you a rough idea about the max and min values.

Yes, as Artmalik told it is not final, you can run manually on required circuit and check the min delay.

BTW, are you looking in to transistor level delay or circuit level delay?. And it depends on technology used.

Yes, I want rough figures about min and max values on circuit level, I would like to conduct a survey on the maximum clock for different technologies.. Howcan I do this ? if .lib files is the answer, where can I get these

Thanks

Are you running simulations?

If yes, you can find on your own.

For any Std Cells, they have .lib files .
In order to understand the .lib file , please check the link below:

No I am just doing survey .. thanks for the link. But where can I find the .lib files themselves ? are they available for free ?
