MAX232 equivalent IC with Opto Isolation

Dear Guys,
Cool Morning to all!
I am interfacing My Micro board by max232 to My system.. Micro board consists of 4 relay . Each relay is driving up to 12V 2A current.. Resistive load.. Relays are Isolated by Opto-cuopler (MCT6)... Without load total system is working fine. while connecting load System gets hanging problem.. mean ma application window not responding some times...

Relays are Isolated.
Load Tracks is totally separated from Micro controller Unit....
What is the reason for this problem...? Expecting your valuable feedback

Is there any Opto-coupling based Rs-232 interfacing(IC) available in market?

Can you post a schematic of the design?

Are the relay loads purely resistive or could there possibly be a reactive component?

You may have issues with Relay Contact EMI.

Relay Protection & EMI Suppression

RC Snubber Noise and Arc Suppressor

Do the symptoms appear during relay switching?

Have you implemented proper safeguards against Back EMF from the relay coils, like a diode?

you can get the adm3101e as a sample from analog
it is an expensive chip, but for one simple board it's ok, and more if you can get it as sample.

also Maxim makes an isolated ±2500v version of the max232 : it is the max250
