Pleeeeeease! someone help me.....

I once had problem installing Matlab, and I was getting a similar error message.

I remember having re-installed the program several times with no luck. It may have to do with the operating system.

Since I din't want to format my hard disk, I created another partition and installed a second operating system (the same, winXP).

It is a lot of work, but

a) you get a clean working environment, that can be used for other purposes (trying new software, keeping it clean and just for your work, etc)

b) you don't have to back-up your files, since you are working on a entirely different partition

c) If you do that from the beginning, you will (most certainly) waste less time than if you try to solve the problem ( at least this happened in my case)

cheers
