make telephone calls through Skype

Shall I signup in Skype and make international telephone calls through it from India ? Through recharge shall I make local and ISD telephone calls from India ?

I thought some IP telephony (inc Skype) was illegal in India? (at least, it was many years ago, unless an exorbitant fee was paid to the govt, and maybe Skype did not want to). Has that changed?

yes, you can call through skype from India, no issues at all today !
