Hii,

How to place macros automatically inside core boundary of block with out any problem (less congestion).
We should not use manual method. (Ex-Placing macros by drag & drop)
Whether need to write any TCL Script. If TCL script then what is the script for that.

Try to use the command "create_fp_placement -congestion_driven". It will place hard macros, as well.

Note : When you use 'create_fp_placement', Don't have to apply "fix" attribute in any macros.

Hii,

Thanks for your reply.

Whether it will place all macros properly without congestion ?

Whether TCL Script is not required to place ?

Whether macros will be grouped hierarchy wise ?

Are you looking for an automated floorplanner? They all ****. Standard is to write tcl scripts that set the x and y coordinates of each macro.

Forget about automated floorplanners. Start writing scripts.
