Lowrance 2000 GlobalMap marine navigators has a special watertight connector between the GPS antenna and the device itself. Question is "what kind of connector is this"? The Norwegian dealer was only able to tell that there is a blue connector on the old system and new systems has a red connector. Wery helpful.
The gps antenna used is LGC2000
If anyone know the type and brand of these connectors I would be very glad for some information.
The follwing image shows the antenna and cable with the connector
I find a lot of information aboute the lowerance part numbers but not the manufacturers part number
They look like "pattern 105 connectors" with plastic housings, maybe even the dreaded D38999 series, have a look through here... **broken link removed**
Would need the number and type of pins and size of the housing to be more specific on the actual connector part number.
No, but they looks similar, but are much simpler in design, all plastic and not so rugged. Lowrance does not use mil-spec connectors as those given in your example.
But, we have had several problems with the Lowrance connectors so I might just cut the cables and mount new better connectors in stead. I am familiar with schaltbau in Germany and have a few of their connectors laying around.
These are rugged and quite similar to those you linked to.
I have used similar plastic (cheepo) versions of the pattern 105, I am trying to remember the firm that did them, I am on site at the moment so have limited access to my stuff, I am bugged now as to who does those connectors.....
