Hi, I have a Philips DVD Portable Player PET714 which is of no use to me. Could anyone help me whether the display could be used with the generic lcd driver boards?

I can't put the datasheet link here but it is easily available by searching for 'philips pet 714 datasheet' on google.

LCD drivers tend to be very specific to the type of LCD. Unless the display itself is a 'standard' one, the chances are you need a dedicated driver and possibly custom software.
