anthony stratakos thesis

Hi friends,

I am going to do project on DC-DC buck converter targetting very low quiescent current (PWM/PFM mode)
As i am very new to power management circuits, please help me how to start and from where to start.
I have already idea on bandgap reference circuits and low drop out regulators.

Please suggest me some good references

low voltage swing power management

Find The following Documents:

Thesis By Anthony John Stratakos
"High Effeiciency Low Voltage DC/DC Conversion for Portbale Applications"

Barry Arbertter and Dragan Maksimovic
"Control Method for Low Voltage DC Power Supply in Battery Powered Systems with Power Management"

I hope I had helped you

Thank you very much gelo. You helped me a lot. i am following those documents

Hi,

Can you pass me the link of the papers...

Thanks

Hi, i didn't remember the links.
so, i am uploading the thesis, check it out

Added after 3 minutes:

one more paper too...

If you cannt find any papers please let me know so that I can upload it..

Could you upload "Multi-voltage CMOS Circuit Design"?
Thanks!

cater, refer to

Multi-Voltage CMOS Circuit Design

i think you should also read some datasheet of some product of MAXIM , national and TI and etc. you may get some practical information.

edwintsu, thank you.
I will design DC-DC of 5v to 1.8v/3.3v based on 0.18um process. But I think the process only operate on max. 3.3v.

useful material
Could somebody upload all the papers ? or Could you tell me how to download it?

I think you should study theory of control. because you will meet the question of stability when you do dc/dc. The most dc/dc is a nonliear system, and is feedback loop.

i think you should study from how to build the small signal model, that can help you how to choice the parameter.
