Hello,

I am looking for a simple low power ( around 20mA) circuit to generate +48V from a +15V . Thanks

Hi,

distributors provide a lot of isolated an non isolated DCDC converters.
Some of them are as simple as can be: Three pins: INPUT, GND, OUTPUT

I´d use the distributor´s selection guide.

simple...circuit.

This boost converter is simplified to depict basic operation.
a) While switch (or transistor) is closed it pulls increasing current through inductor.
b) When switch opens, inductor generates a pulse of sufficient voltage to push current to output stage.
The 1 ohm resistor is unnecessary. It's included to represent some amount of parasitic resistance.
