Hello,

I have a inverter type on-chip oscillator (as shown below)
with standard 13.824MHz crystal,
it give ~ 36 psec(rms) jitter.

PLease advise how do I reduce this jitter.
Target: ~a few psec, (possible???)

a) include trace, mos and package parasitics
b) include load caps and run sims to see how much the osc. freq. changes based on the change of load caps. (pullability)
c) make sure your xtal model makes sense
d) I can assure you that you are overdriving the xtal quite hard. Check it or your xtal will go up in smoke. Increase L decrease W
I would also recommend to simulate PSRR - with this concept it can become a bit scary......
